TW-80

Type: Anti-fog for PVC

Development / Applications

TW-80 is a non-ionic, hydrophilic, USP-grade antifog surfactant of the polyoxyethylenated sorbitan monooleate (POE 20) type. Its high affinity for water makes it particularly effective on refrigerated and high-humidity film, where it maintains a long-lasting, extended, and transparent water layer. Its purity profile, with controlled levels of free ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, makes it suitable for PVC film in contact with food. It is used in wrapping fruits, vegetables, and meat, as well as in refrigerated packaging.
Storage
Store in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry place, away from heat, sparks, flames, or other sources of ignition and heat. Store at normal pressure; do not store outdoors; an inert gas chamber is not required.
Skin contact with TW-80 is harmless; however, acute exposure may cause irritation. A safety data sheet for handling this material is available upon request.
