PVC K76 resin is a K=76 micro-suspension resin with a semi-matte finish, designed for demanding textile coatings and floor wear layers. It is used to produce plastisols or pastes that exhibit low viscosity at low shear stress and slight expansion at high shear rates in formulations with low to medium plasticizer dosages (40–60 phr). Plastisol made from this polymer offers a high-clarity, high-gloss surface finish, low water absorption, good electrical resistance, good air release, and a low gel temperature. It also exhibits good thermal stability and lightfastness when used with various heat stabilizers, as well as good mechanical properties. When left to stand or with a long shelf life, its viscosity increase over time is low, as is its tendency to settle.This emulsion resin produces plastisols suitable for extended solid coatings, especially clear varnishes with low plasticizer content where high mechanical properties are required. Due to their low viscosity, plastisols with PVC K76 (H10) are also ideal for all types of coatings and for rotational molding, dip coating, and casting processes. It is primarily used in high-clarity topcoats for flooring, wall coverings, applications requiring high mechanical strength, footwear, and vehicle interiors.
