Chlorinated paraffin functions as a secondary plasticizer and provides other important characteristics such as stain resistance, migration resistance, and low-temperature flexibility. It is also compatible with all plasticizers used in PVC formulations. Significant cost savings are achieved by using chlorinated paraffin as a partial substitute for the primary plasticizer, without compromising quality.This material is also used as a flame retardant in the manufacture of plastics, paints and adhesives; in combination with Antimony Trioxide it improves its flame retardant properties and consequently reduces production costs.
