BaZn, CaZn, and MgAlZn Thermal Stabilizers for PVC

Product Overview

General Description

Like tin-based thermal stabilizers, BaZn, CaZn, and MgAlZn thermal stabilizers for PVC are responsible for delaying the thermal degradation of PVC. Their mechanism works by preventing the formation of hydrogen chloride (HCl) caused by high processing temperatures. Different grades are available for suspension and emulsion PVC, meeting the requirements of various industries such as medical, food, toys, footwear, and electrical applications, among others. Some of our grades are free of phenols (BPA), heavy metals, and phthalates.

Thermal Stabilizer for PVC Calcium Zinc

These thermal stabilizers for PVC represent the new trend and the future of the PVC market. They have replaced other metal salt stabilizers and lead-based systems in electrical cable applications. Among recent developments, there are grades that comply with California Proposition 65, and are free of BPAs, phthalates, and other regulated substances.

They have found significant application opportunities in medical, food-contact, and toy industries, not only due to their low-odor grades but also because they are considered completely non-toxic materials.

Thermal Stabilizer for PVC Barium Zinc

These thermal stabilizers for PVC They arose from the need to remove the Cadmium in PVC to comply with toxicity standards. This product's performance is excellent in terms of thermal stability; however, there are varying degrees depending on its application, as well as the formulator's criteria. PVC. We offer powder grades, but liquids are the most common. Their application is limited to general-purpose markets, such as... plastisol, film, injection-molded parts and flexible profiles. It is recommended for use for Flexible and semi-rigid PVC.

It is important to know that depending on your application we offer grades of low volatile content, plate-out, weather resistance and good initial color.

Thermal Stabilizer for PVC Magnesium Aluminum Zinc

It is a variant of the other metallic salt stabilizers with the intention of obtaining good thermal stability and reducing the issue of toxicity to the maximum, thus making it possible to use it in medical applications such as blood bags or venoclysis.

Thermal Stabilizer for PVC Barium Cadmium Zinc

Among metal salt thermal stabilizers for PVC, BaCdZn is being phased out of the market, although some general-purpose grades are still used where their application does not pose health risks. In the local market, they can still be found in hoses, mats, and profiles for industrial sectors. Their advantages include excellent thermal stability, a favorable cost–benefit ratio, very low plate-out and/or migration, low volatility, and high transparency. They are suitable for both flexible and semi-rigid PVC.
