K76 (H10) PVC resin

Development / Applications

K76 PVC resin is a medium molecular weight micro-suspension homopolymer. It is used to produce plastisols or pastes that exhibit low viscosity at low shear stress and slight expansion at high shear rates in formulations with low to medium plasticizer dosages (40–60 phr). Plastisol made from this polymer offers a high-clarity, high-gloss surface finish, low water absorption, good electrical resistance, good air release, and a low gel temperature. It also exhibits good thermal stability and lightfastness when used with various heat stabilizers, as well as good mechanical properties. When left to stand or with a long shelf life, its viscosity increase over time is low, as is its tendency to settle.This emulsion resin produces plastisols suitable for extended solid coatings, especially clear varnishes with low plasticizer content where high mechanical properties are required. Due to their low viscosity, plastisols with PVC K76 (H10) are also ideal for all types of coatings and for rotational molding, dip coating, and casting processes. It is primarily used in high-clarity topcoats for flooring, wall coverings, applications requiring high mechanical strength, footwear, and vehicle interiors.
Storage
This product should be stored at normal room temperature. Once opened, the packaging should be tightly resealed.
Safety data sheets for this material are available upon request. Prolonged skin contact may cause irritation. Those handling this product should wear safety glasses and rubber gloves. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Exposed skin should be washed with soap and water.
