EM 3090 is a medium molecular weight PVC emulsion resin with a fine particle size. Its viscosity starts relatively high; however, under low shear stress, its viscosity gradually decreases. Under high shear stress, it exhibits pseudoplastic flow. Both conditions assume a medium plasticizer dosage level (70-100 phrs).The plastisol produced from this resin exhibits good foaming properties and a long shelf life. It also offers good thermal stability when combined with a wide range of thermal stabilizers, and a fast gelation rate with a semi-gloss surface finish.This emulsion resin produces plastisols ideal for extended coating of foams, particularly high-build-expansion foams with a very fine, closed-cell structure. It also produces high-performance, high-viscosity, compact coating plastisols without the need for thickening agents. For foaming applications, it is recommended for use with K/Zn or Na/Zn activators.EM 3090 can be applied in plastisol rotary screen printing, plastisol transfer spreading, or plastisol spraying processes. It can also be used as an automotive sealant applied by spraying.
Storage
This product should be stored at room temperature between 25°C and 30°C. Prolonged storage in cold places will cause the material to gel; this is easily remedied by warming the material and gently shaking it. Once opened, the drum must be tightly sealed.
Safety data sheets for this material are available upon request. Prolonged skin contact may cause irritation. Those handling this product should wear safety glasses and rubber gloves. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Exposed skin should be washed with soap and water.
