TOTM

Type: Plasticizer Trioctyl Trimelitate

Development / Applications

TOTM is a plasticizer characterized by its low migration and high pull-out resistance, making it particularly suitable for use in PVC resins whose final application is exposed to chemical attack from foreign substances or to high-temperature conditions. It can be blended with other general-purpose plasticizers, such as DOTP, to reduce volatility. Thanks to these properties, TOTM is widely used in the manufacture of heat-resistant PVC materials for cables and wires (up to 105°C), as well as in products requiring durability, such as plates, sheets, and medical instruments, among others. 
Storage
This product should be stored at room temperature. Once opened, the packaging should be tightly closed.
The safety data sheet for handling this material is available upon request. Prolonged skin contact may cause irritation. Those handling this product should wear safety glasses and rubber gloves. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Exposed body parts should be washed with soap and water.
